2024: New Year, New Decor

2024: New Year, New Decor!

My decorating resolution for 2024 is “Finish It”! I have implemented significant enhancements to our home this year, resulting in a noticeable transformation…and more to come. If I was to be honest, I do not think I will ever be done. I see so many beautiful things when sourcing items for my clients, I cannot help myself.

Here are five tips to make your home look fabulous in 2024.

Top 5 Decorating Tips to Update Your Home

1. Fresh Color Palette: Introduce a new color scheme to breathe life into your space instantly. Consider trendy hues or timeless neutrals that complement your furniture and overall style. I am a ‘neutrals gal’ and my absolute favorite is Benjamin Moore Soft Chamois – OC 13. It is a soft ivory that is warm and sophisticated and looks fantastic with Chantilly Lace trim OC-65.

2. Statement Pieces: Invest in key statement pieces, like a bold artwork, a unique lighting fixture, or a standout furniture item. These focal points can redefine the entire vibe of a room. We are about to install this beautiful statement lighting in one of our customer’s homes. Cannot wait!

3. Texture Fabrics: Upgrade your soft furnishings with textured fabrics such as plush throws, knitted cushions, or patterned rugs. These additions not only add visual interest but also create a more inviting atmosphere. This area rug would be a powerful addition to a living room to give it a more modern vibe. If you are going to take the plunge on a rug like this, keep everything else in the room neutral and simple. Make this the focal point.

4. Greenery and Natural Elements: Incorporate indoor plants or natural elements like wooden accents to bring the outdoors inside. Not only do they add a touch of nature, but they also contribute to a healthier and more relaxed environment. These are artificial peach blossoms done well. Love them!

5. Smart Organization: Declutter and organize your space effectively. Storage solutions that are both practical and aesthetically pleasing can make your home feel more spacious and visually appealing.

Remember, the key is to personalize your space to reflect your tastes and preferences. Happy decorating!
